Action- The little boy frantically retreated further into his closet, too terrified to do anything else. He shook violently in fear, clutching his chest in a desperate attempt to calm himself. The closet door flew open and the 6-year-old screamed. The Monster was after him, now. Mommy couldn't protect him anymore.
Quotation- "Anthony, come out," the Monster purred, "Daddy's here." The little boy shook his head furiously, though the Monster couldn't see. "Get away!" Anthony cried, his voice nothing more than a whimper of fear. "Now, now," said the Monster, reaching out to pick up the frantic boy. "No! No!" the boy screamed as the Monster held him, the dripping red rubbing off the Monster's shirt and onto Anthony. "Mommy!" the little boy screamed, begging for his mother's help. The little boy didn't understand what had happened; he was frightened and wanted to go away, disappear into the clothes hanging in his closet.
